Vertigo

i was absent one day  so i missed 45 minutes in the middle of the movie, which made it so much harder to understand.  i liked the beginning of the movie, or rather the opening title sequence.  the opening sequence sort of reminded me of the last 20 minutes of a space odyssey with all the colors and what not.  the whole time i was confused why they kept on calling him scottie and john and found it really creepy that he kept trying to change judy by changing her hair and how she dresses to become a spitting image of madeleine.  i think i wouldve liked the movie more if i could watch it straight through rather than in a few seperate days.

Notorious

i thought that this movie would be good seeing as i like spy movies, but it never caught my attention.  cary grant who plays devlin a secret agent who is supposed to throw alicia into another mans arms to infiltrate a circle of german scientists.  problem is, devlin falls in love with alicia while she is supposed to marry sebastian who is a wealthy german business man.  i didnt understand what was going on through most of the movie because everything was kind of subtle, i wouldnt even have known they had sex if you didnt say it before the movie started.  overall i didnt really like the movie.

Shadow of a Doubt

Charlie is bored living at home with her parents but that all changes when her uncle Charlie comes to visit.  Charlie completely loves uncle Charlie and anything he does.  as we find later on in the movie, uncle Charlie is a murderer on the run.  i thought the chemistry between Charlie and uncle charlie was a little creepy. i kept on thinking that they were going to kiss.  i also noticed how the music didnt really fit the picture.  there would be times where its very happy in the movie but theres this scary music playing in the background so i didnt really know what to think throughout the whole movie.
