Martin Scorsese co wrote the script for Goodfellas with Nicholas Pileggi. most of the events the movie depicts actually happened. the witness protection officer who tells Henry and Karen they have no other choice but to join this program was the actual officer who told the real Henry Hill and Karen to join. Henry Hill is no longer in the witness protection program.
<img width='1' height='1' the beginning of the movie, or rather the opening title sequence. the opening sequence sort of reminded me of the last 20 minutes of a space odyssey with all the colors and what not. the whole time i was confused why they kept on calling him scottie and john and found it really creepy that he kept trying to change judy by changing her hair and how she dresses to become a spitting image of madeleine. i think i wouldve liked the movie more if i could watch it straight through rather than in a few seperate days.<div sebastian who is a wealthy german business man. i didnt understand what was going on through most of the movie because everything was kind of subtle, i wouldnt even have known they had sex type='text'>Birds

ever since we watched this movie, i think birds are evil. Back in the day those were the best graphics and special effects around. today it seems a bit primitive but it still worked for Hitchcock. i didnt think of birds to be so destructive and menacing but i know better now. i think my favorite scene from this movie was when a bunch of school kids were running away from the attacking birds and a little girl was on the ground face first and a bird was just pecking at her as she was shaking her arms and legs. Hitchcock always seems to make the simplest thing scary.
American Graffiti

this movie was about some kids just driving around the town looking for something to do before one of the characters has to go to college. there wasnt really a story line, but more of just a day in the lives of these certain teenagers. street racing, picking up girls and going to dances was pretty much all they had to do in the movie. since this movie took place in the early 60's all the music was rock & roll and music that reflected the time period. even though there wasnt a story line, i was trying to pin point who the "psycho" of the movie was. we watched this movie for the music, and i agree that the movie wouldn't have been as scary without the music to go along with the picture. we watched the shower scene first with music then without, and in my mind, the scene with the music was soo much better. i think this is one of my favorite movies that we have type='text'>Edward Scissorhands

i used to watch this movie all the time when i was younger so I've grown to over it over the years. Johnny Depp plays Edward who was made with scissors for hands. before his creator was about to give him his hands , he dies and Edward was left all alone in this giant house on a hill. when he gets taken down to the town, where everything is a solid pastel color, he immediately sticks out. Edward scissor hands is a different kind Buster Keatons face always looks as if he has no emotion what so ever. the movie showed alot about how times were back then like how buster and the girl acted when they were together. things were alot more reserved back then.

I LOVE BLOGSPOT !
